Cherry Bekaert Acquires Rhode Island Firm Sansiveri Kimball
Cherry Bekaert expands its New England footprint with the acquisition of Rhode Island-based accounting firm Sansiveri, Kimball & Co., LLP.
Raleigh, N.C.-based Cherry Bekaert announced Monday it has acquired the business of Sansiveri, Kimball & Co., LLP, a Rhode Island accounting and advisory firm with an established client base across New England, the firm said in a statement dated Nov. 2, 2026.
The deal marks a strategic push by Cherry Bekaert to deepen its presence in the northeastern United States, a region where the firm had limited direct operations. Sansiveri, Kimball & Co. has served Rhode Island clients as well as businesses throughout the broader New England corridor, giving the combined entity an immediate regional foothold.

The acquisition follows an industry-wide trend of mid-market accounting firms consolidating to broaden service capabilities and geographic reach. By absorbing an established local practice, Cherry Bekaert gains existing client relationships and regional expertise that would otherwise take years to build organically.
Cherry Bekaert, which operates as both an accounting and advisory firm, has pursued a growth-by-acquisition strategy in recent years. Adding Sansiveri's roster is expected to expand the range of services Cherry Bekaert can offer to clients across Rhode Island and neighboring states, according to the announcement.
